FOOD HACK – Make your own Crunchy Taco Shells


National Crunchy Taco Day is March 21st and it goes without saying, celebrate with some Tacos.

Did you know that the first tacos (or rather, their namesake) weren’t even edible, the name came from the silver mines of Mexico where they were simply some gunpowder wrapped up in a piece of paper. For national crunchy taco day, make your own healthy and delicious crunch taco shells with these three easy steps. All you’ll need are some corn tortillas from the store.

  1. Preheat your oven to 375•
  2. Steam your shells by wrapping them in wet paper towels, 5 at a time. Microwave your stacks for 25 to 30 seconds each stack
  3. Using the bars on the racks in your oven, drape the tortillas between two bars and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until crispy
